BRIDAL GOWN

All eyes on you! Every girl’s dream dress but how hard to choose… the one time you will ever wear a dress like it. If you haven’t been designing it since you were five here’s some simple steps;

*Choose a silhouette:

 ‘A’ line * Sheath * Empire*  Slip* Cocktail  * Mermaid *  Fishtail *  Ballet*  Ballgown *vintage

* Dress for your personality and your body shape. a confident bride is a beautiful bride. What’s your favourite part to show off… and the bit you want to disguise? Decide on a neckline style, Made to measure is a must to getting that perfect fit, particularly the bust area

*want a body hugging corset or natural flowing lines? Do you love a train, how long?

* Consider the venue : A big full ball gown to walk down the church aisle or a sleek flowing dress for a beach wedding

*Will it be cool and you want to cover up with sleeves or a cape, or warm enough to show more flesh?

*Do you like texture or sparkles- ‘ripples’ ‘pleats‘ ’ lace’ ’ Crystals’ ‘diamante’ ‘ pearls’ ‘Flowers’ ‘ Bows’ belts.?  Remember a back detail for interest while having your back to the guests while exchanging your vows

*So many shades of white! And then there’s various shades of ivory, silver gold, blush……. any colour of the rainbow you fancy, its your choice.

* we can then decide on the fabric suitable for the dress design.  Silk is so special, the way it hangs, the feel, the flow. Do you hear of royalty getting married in polyester?! Silk is natural, lets the skin breath, ideal in our tropical climate or the height of summer

When it comes to price, get expert advice. You can have the perfect dress, but if you are on a tight budget, don’t choose a huge skirt with lots of fabric layers, and cut back on labour intensive hand beading, opt for a pre made trim instead.
